Major Earthquake in Afghanistan
On August 31, a 6.0 magnitude earthquake and multiple aftershocks struck eastern Afghanistan, killing more than 2,200 people and injuring over 3,600. Over 6,700 homes were damaged or destroyed, and families are sheltering in unsafe, makeshift conditions with limited access to food, clean water, and medical care. Remote, mountainous districts remain hard to reach, and winter is fast-approaching. Let’s help.
