International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples
There are an estimated 476 million Indigenous Peoples across 90 countries, speaking most of the world’s 7,000 languages and representing over 5,000 cultures. Though just 5% of the global population, they protect over 80% of Earth’s remaining biodiversity. Their knowledge is vital. Let’s listen, learn, and support them, protect their homes, and the ecosystems we all depend on!
