World Suicide Prevention Day
Every year, more than 700,000 people die by suicide. For every suicide, there are many more people who attempt suicide, and it is the fourth leading cause of death among 15-29 year olds. Losing just one person to suicide is one too many, and the impact is devastating—tearing through families, friends, coworkers, communities and entire societies. But there is hope. World Suicide Prevention Day, observed annually on September 10th, serves as a powerful reminder that suicide is preventable. Let’s come together and support nonprofits dedicated to saving lives!
To Write Love on Her Arms
Provides scholarships to pay for mental health care and connects people who are struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide to life-saving resources.
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
