Filipino American History Month
Filipino American History Month in October commemorates the first Filipinos to arrive in the continental United States on October 18, 1587, and honors the rich heritage, culture, and contributions of the Filipino community. In celebration, we’re featuring nonprofits making a global impact in the Philippines through education and health initiatives that expand opportunity, empower young people, and create lasting change!

Angat Initiative
Provides scholarships, school supplies, and mentorship to help underprivileged Filipino elementary school students succeed through university.

Roots of Health
Provides sexual and reproductive health education and services for young people, while also training teachers and youth leaders to address critical issues such as teen pregnancy and HIV.
