Hurricane Melissa

Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm, made landfall on October 28 as the strongest hurricane ever to hit Jamaica and one of the most powerful in Atlantic history. Communities across the Caribbean faced record rainfall, catastrophic flooding, and destructive winds. At least 50 people have died, and millions more are in urgent need of support.
